Organised by South West Road Runners, the First Chance 10k takes place on a fast, flat course alongside Exeter's River Exe and canal.
Whether you're chasing a PB or starting your racing year, the First Chance 10k is a great opportunity to get your year off to a flying start.

Entry fees: £16 affiliated / £18 unaffiliated
Minimum age: 15 years on race day
Entry limit: 750 runners
Course: Accurately measured 10k
Timing: Chip timing
Race medal: Included for all participants
Cut-off time: 2 hours
Important information
Race numbers and timing chips must be collected from Race HQ on race day. Race HQ opens at 8:30am.
In-ear headphones are not permitted. Bone-conduction headphones are allowed.
Entries can be transferred to another runner or amended through Eventrac until one week before race day. No refunds or deferrals are available.

By car: From the A30, take the A377 Marsh Barton Exit and follow the signs for Exeter. This will take you along Alphington Road. After about a mile you will pass under a railway bridge. Turn right at the next set of lights (signposted “Haven Banks”) then take the next left. Race HQ will be signposted from this point
Car Parks include: Haven Banks Retail Park, 22 Water Lane, EX2 8BY; Cathedral & Quay, EX1 1DX - Entrance on Lower Coombe Street, off Western Way. Lots of capacity, once parked walk down to the Quay and take the footbridge over the Exe to Race HQ; Haven Banks Car Park, EX2 8DP – Entrance on Michael Browning Way. Limited capacity, likely traffic congestion.
